Nifty future trade

Hello Friends,

I have opened an account in Sharekhan, I want to know what will be the Margin for Nifty futures for a lot.

I have 10 % margin in the account , but it still does not allow me to trade ?

It would be great if anyone who is trading in Nifty Futures in Sharekhan could inform me about the same.

nifty 1 lot is of 50 shares and an approximately margin on 1 lot of nifty is around 27000 . so if you have paid rs 27000 to the sharekhan he has to allow you to trade in nifty future of 50 shares. if you dont have enough margin for the same u can also trade in mininifty which consist only around 10000 rs as margin. I think you need around 15,000/- to start trading in ONE lot of
MINIFTY.
