Hello Seniors:
Consider this scenario. We start trading with 1 lot in Minifty Fut (investment/deposit of 24,000). We get a monthly gain of 300 points (i.e. 300 x 20 = 6000 in profit). We do this for 3 more months. In the 5th month (6000 x 4 = 24000), we trade with 2 lots, etc. Please see the excel sheet attached. Extending the above, in 21 months, we will have a profit of 15 lacs + your investment of 24,000. As you would have rightly guessed from the above ambition, I am a newbie. Now, how far this is possible? How easy or difficult is it to maintain +300 points monthly. Is it a reasonable target to achieve and achieve every month? I plan to trade with a 20 point stop loss, is it a good idea? What would be your advice to me? ![]() |

Dear Leo ,...
Definitely your targets are rational. Just follow a good trading system and enjoy. If we take 300 pts gain per month and 20 working days with market then average points per day are just 15 .. but those 15 points a day should be after brokerage and taxes calculations. Simply jump into the Ashishda's thread ,... http://www.traderji.com/equities/189...ty-7300-a.html Where u will find very nice intraday strategies and trading singals by the masters itself like Saint , Ashishda, Ajax n more ( sorry if i cant mention all ) Best luck ... Regards,.. Darsh |

I luv this idea
and I am sure everyone who thinks of starting trading does calculates the Profits before!! This looks very good on paper, and 20-25 points a day (in profit) seems easy, but the picture changes once you put in real money...Fear / Grid comes inn and the same plan looks ambitious!!!This is not to discourage you, but please keep these things in mind and have an awesome profit! |

While Your Intentions & Calculations Are Honourable
Your Calculations Of +300 Does Not Take Into Account Probabilty Of -300 Regards SavantGarde Quote:

As rightly pointed out by Savant the possibility of -300 points in a month is not considered. I think the MiniNifty does not cost more than 15000/- at the present nifty value of 4900.Correct me if I am wrong. |

Hi Leo,
While I Standby What I Posted Earlier. Here Is Something That One Needs To Think Before Calculating The Lakhs. 1) Strive To Become A Proficient Trader, Infact Strive To Become The Best Trader In The World. 2) If You Trade Well Profits Will Come Naturally 3) While You May Have A Predetermined Profit When Entering A Trade, You Must Have The Ability To Be Able To Judge After Entering A Trade Whether You Will Get Your Predetermined Profit, If Not, Then Being Able To Scale Down As To How Much The Trade Will Give With A Certain Amount Of Safety....Maybe You Might Even Need To Exit With A Bit Of Loss..... 4) Trading Every Day Is Very Addictive....Important Ability One Must Possess Is To Be Able To Stay Out On Days One Is Unable To Figure Out The Market Movement (Doesn't Mean You Go To The Movies After 30 Minutes) There Are Many More Things But Will Try & Get Back As Soon As I Get My Bearing Straight On It...Without Digressing. Warm Regards SavantGarde |
