Angry Nagarjuna Fertilizer - Future

Hi guys,
I bought nagarjuna future with margin money (2 lots) half way through the market crash @ 61.00. Obviously you know the rates now.

Since the expiry nearing i must sell to lose my capital and also have to pay more to the broker on top of it.

Is there a way to transfer this contract from Jan to Feb expecting a raise in next month? Does this mean that Jan contract will be sold and feb buy? I beleive i cannot do this since as soon as i sell i will have to pay the broker some amount and i cannot expect him to allow me to buy again.

Any help would be appreciated for this poor trader.

You are lucky that it's not been auto squared by your broker yet. Regarding your question -i don't have any clue, but i know you can transfer contracts from near to next or far... but don't know how that works internally.

Dear pattel,
plz do not make the mistake of selling nagfert @ these levels...simply rollover,if at all we have a pre budget rally...nagarfert will be the stock to look out for...also technically nagarfert looks all set to come back with a vengence, but u might have to have patience for atleast 8 trading days at the most...
plz do not book ur loss...hope brother...
all the best

I couldn't. My broker (sharekhan) told me that rollover is selling jan contract and buying feb contract and while they sell jan all my money will be gone and so they cannot buy any feb contract. Hence was forced to take loss.

I assumed what they told is right? Are they?
