as milkyblack said, there is nothing wrong in taking a position as long as you are comfirtable with SL. you can enter any day, any side (either long or short by keeping support or resistance as SL) and at any level. after 1-2 trade, you will be right side of the market. only thing is to trade with strict discipline. And be prepared mentally to have loss around 300-400 points during rangebound markets.

Current position : SHORT (at 5172 on 06/05/2008)

Nifty Fut Closed at : 4966.45

Profit/Loss in current trade : +205.55 (as per last closing price)
Net Profit/Loss since thread started : +1513.55 (1308.00+205.55)


Support : 4930
Resistance : 5032

Hold SHORT position with SL 5032. If trades above 5032, exit SHORT & go LONG with SL 4930

As I understand, today NF went above short SL of 5032, so shud we be long according to this system? with long SL of 4930.

Support : 4967
Resistance : 5052

Hold LONG position with SL 4967. If trades below 4967, exit LONG & go SHORT with SL 5052

On the fist page of this thread, an excel file is available with trading data up to end 2007. By any chance, do we have a similar file for period since beginning of 2008 and till date?

Hi,

There is one more file "Nifty Fut.Xls" also available which is for current year & i am updating on weekly basis i.e. at the end of every week.

If someone have 1 Lac rupees, and want to trade in future via ur technic, should he have to take only 1 lot or if possible, ha can take 3 lot? any suggestion...and how much money he should kept in margin?
