Dear frinds
Welcome This thread is intended to test intensively trading signals(online) generated by my trading system during trading hours. Positions are taken according to buy/sell signals generated (Nifty only). The longs or shorts must be taken when the signal is generated with out question. No stop-loss used. System performance reviewed at the end of every month(Profit/loss). Participants/critics are invited Yesterday my trading system signal exit NIFTY at closing. To day big gap up opening. My trading system signal buy. I have to buy. Nifty bought @ 4405. Regards Last edited by ppvsin; 8th August 2007 at 02:26 PM. |

Make your system a bit more realistic. nifty has NOT TOUCHED 4405 at all today, it opened at 4421 and went above thereafter.
To properly test systems, these things shd be taken care of, otherwise they will give you a very rosy picture of an otherwise weak method... -Puneet |

Should I take nifty long at closing or now? few hours back you were confused about your buy signal. & now you are looking confident about your buy signal. even you are going to provide your signals. (you also edited your last post, check the second post of the thread & you will see the original post of yours along with my reply). what an improvement within a hour. carry on. ![]() |

Dear biyasc
Thanks for your comment. My intention is not to say my trading system is excellent. In fact I want to follow signals generated by system without second thought. Let us see what happens in long run. Since it is system based trading there is no scope for emotions or confusion. The question is where to buy since to day is big gap up opening. Regards |

Thanks, you are correct, Nifty Futures 4405 hit around 10:15.
I am also a Nifty system trader, just a bit of advise after reading your post. Please do take care of the stop losses (since you mentioned 'without sl'). You have to exit the position every time you enter it, its either exited once your profit target is achieved, or when your sl is hit. In my system, I use 1 ATR(10 days) as the sl as i am not a day trader on nifty. ![]() Thanks again for your clarification, Puneet |

Thanks puneet
when the system generate exit signal that is the stop-loss for me. Since I am not a NIFTY day trader I have to take pains/gains of drawdon. Here what I am trying to do is not forecasting the market instead to follow it. Regards |
