This is just so wrong, you just threw whole valuation thing out of the window.

You did not differentiate between asset player and service company, you did not even care whether carrying value of assets on BS is current or historical.

I could have avoided posting this here, but you are misleading many people by making such statement.

Book value is one factor, dont just blindly depend on book value because there are many bad stocks whose share price is below their book value.
