U mean least or lease ?

Doubt if u will get a ready lsit.

But if u r thinking of investing, remember that many, if not most of these cos ( with v low PEs) would not be worth investing in, as there wd be something seriously wrong with their business model, or with their management, or outlook

And here are my two cents on p/e ...

From what I have read, p/e can be a misleading figure... it should be just one of the many factors not the only factor before decision of investment is made in a company ... !

yes agreed. it is not the only factor and is one of the factors. we can compare the industry's p/e with a company's p/e and decide. this way it will help a lot in deciding a good buy

Hi All,

I agree with RM that PE can assist in giving a fair bit of idae about the prospects of the Co. and for the actual valuation I think we need to consider the Industry PE or may be the average PE of Industry and specific Co.

So now on can we regullarly update the PE of various Industries. This way we can atleast update our knowlegde and also work out the prospects of the Company.

Hi,

Sorry for bumping the thread but I think we can create an excel sheet and update the PE ratios and some other data.

One format could be

Name | CMP | EPS | PE
scrip1
scrip2
...

If everyone agrees, we can complile the data .. !
