Bv ...... Market price ...... Promoter stake

#1
Dear members,:)

Is any relationship between a companys Book Value of shares and its trading (market)price... If the book value is higher than its trading price , is its a good investment opportunity ?

If the promoter holding is higher eg ; more than 80 % and Book Value is higher than its trading price .. then its a good investment opportunity ?

Hope anyone will clear my doubt

Regards,

assaraf :)

It is a great opportunity but one should also look for vision of managment as well as transperency in the business conducted by them.
There are many companies which have their market price less than that of its market price since they lack of vision & transprancy in their day to day operation as well as numbers may be manipulated hence one should look at track record of the company & its mgt. for last 4-5years alongwith their dividend track record & other activities to reward their shareholders.
