All your picks were fantastic Ram.I have never seen a 100% success calls.T/U
Wouldn't it be simply easier to state the rise of stocks to a broad market rally, rather than stock selection skills, with due respects? Strategies work at times when they are curve fitted to suit the trend. I am yet to see fundamental analysts issue a sell call on stocks which they deem over valued, as compared with the free flow of buy calls issued on the potentially under valued stocks, in this bull market.

Yes oxusmorouz, you are partially correct. My appreciation for Ram Ram is due to the fact that each of his recomm was supported by fundamental analysis in depth.Pl see his previous postings & his blog.
Besides, you may recall his maiden recomm of Modern & Heritage was way before the present euphoria. The achievement of target much before his projected period is incidental due to mad bull mkt.

As for yr query reg Sell recomm in a Bull mkt,it is futile attempt & i had experienced it.

So,ride the trend with trailing stop loss.In fact,he himself had closed certain calls which are in good profit ,perhaps because of the 100mtr pace.
In view of the above,i feel i am justified in my appreciation of ram ram.
Happy trading

Hi All

Thanks for those kind words.

Yes, trailing stop loss might be a decent approach with highly liquid counters. Although in a mad bull market many stocks are liquid.

The reason I had to close those calls is due to the fact that it opens up funds to buy better stocks. As you said I always stick to fundamentals. I see stocks with better fundamentals and valuations. For example, by taking the profits from Celestial, Anjani, Garden Silk, I have invested them in Rallis India. When an excellent Tata group company with outstanding prospects are trading at a Market capitalization of Rs. 600 Crores (when recommended), when ridiculous stocks are trading at near or higher than such valuations, to me RALLIS is a screaming buy. RALLIS Long term target Rs.1500.

Regards
Ram
