Default Platforms

Dear Friends,
I would like to know, which platforms do you preffer, and possibly with reasons, I want to chose on which platform to trade.
I used MetaTrader, it's not bad actualy... I did't like the internet based platforms, they don't seem secure, but I would love to know your oppinion!

Thanks!

I use Metatrader4 for charting and trade on oanda. Metatrader4 is the one of the best softwares which is readily available without any cost and Tradestation is more popular and used by many pros but it costs around 300$ a month.

keep pipin.

This is what really attracts me about MT4, it's free AND it's an excellent software!
But still, before trading, I really want to try out other platforms, and know your valuable opinion!
Cheers!

Hello,
I just installed MT-4(MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal) and got a demo account. But the MT-4 is not working. I can see the chart pages etc. But charts are not updating at all even after refreshing.I wonder what i am doing wrong. I tried different timeframes but still not updating. Does MT-4 require internet connection speed more than 256 KBPS(Broad band).

I also noticed at the bottom right corner where the connection details are it is 8/0kb. sometimes it goes upto 550/3 kb . after that it programme crashes. All my other programmes that uses internet is working including e-signal data. I checked on BSNL broad band connection details also. No problems there. But MT-4 is not updating neither the 8/0 kbs is increasing.

Do i need to install any other programme with MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal.

I am attaching a snap shot

Kindly advise me

Regards
Saji

Hi Saaji,
You have to download metatrader data center from their website and install along with the client terminal and allow it to connect to the internet.---KK
