Indian product are still illiquid and no international pairs are allowed to trade still.

What do you specialise in UK and US broker? are you a series III license holder?
will some one shed light on basic procedures involved in opening FOREX account, in this thread rather than discussing higher aspects here and analyse it in a separate thread, because this one was started by "dJay" to know the elementary steps involved.. Just like him.. many persons like me is also curious to know.

Basic process is below

Online:

Fill the required account application required

Offline:

Download application or get application paper from your brokers, go through it and sign them up were ever required

And send scanned copy of same and some broker need physical copy of it though

Submit the required ID proof required generally Driving License, Passport, Pan Card or Voter ID is treated as valid in most cases and some brokers need recent copy of your utility bill

Fund your account:

1. Wire Transfer
2. Online using credit card
3. Local funding

Decide you want market maker or ECN before going to trade FX

Recommended broker: Fxcentral, i have account with them as i need local support

Hi Albert,

Are you only looking to open in India? I opened overseas with a broker who has direct mkt access. Prices seems to be excellent for the cause. I opened with dukascopy, and through the forex live room in so i also get some rebate back. Only just started but its been ok so far.

I recommend ducascopy.. I have some respect for them. But the drawback is the minimum size trading which could limits some retail clients.. I think theie minimum trade size is 100k if i remember correct..:thumb:
They have reduced the trading size to something like 1k now. I'm finding their platform on of the best. I opened via forex live room so that they also give a rebate. Pretty neat.

regards

Rahul
