I have posted my reply to this query few weeks back.

Anyway for your reference.

Since you have an account with HDFC it should not be much of a problem, however all the branches of HDFC donot remit funds for currency trading as they are not aware of the legalities of this activity and presume it to be not permitted. Request you to visit HDFC Bank, Hill Road branch or Dadar TT branch in Mumbai. (or if you are visiting any other branch, request the branch manager to dial the number of HDFC bank hill road branch and speak to him and he will explain the procedure to him)

There is a proforma of the A2 form in the thread Bank Wire transfer (I cannot upload it again because of restroctions) that you need to fill and duly sign it and submitt it to the bank for remitting funds. Only thing is that you need to have a bank account with them. Dont ask any questions to them.

If you have an account with them and fill the form in the way I have mentioned they are bound to remitt funds for you. Dont enquire with them. Just ask for a A2 Form and fill it the way i have mentioned and submit it to the banks.

If you know the swift code of the broker or bank than please mention it. It will help transfer of the funds faster but it is not necessary or mandatory to mention swift code in the A2 From. If you do well and good. Banks cannot refuse to remitt funds because you donot have a swift code.

Hello Chaichapatti,

One question about the transfer, read in hsbc bank site that for remittances less than 5000 USD, only a "Telegraphic transfer application form" is needed and A2 form is not needed. Do you know anything about this?

Thanks,
