Stock Split in F-Chart

I'm very sure someone must have asked this question but not able to find anything on search in google, fchart forum or here on "stock split f-chart"

So I'm asking where can I get the stock split data and how to I enter it in fchart?

Just update your Database as usual and then check stock where Split or bonus had come.....obvisoouly your chart picture would have been distorted. Software doesn't understand what is Split or bonus so right Click on the Price bar before the Split and select Price Settings and from there top left hand corner you will see option adjust Split. Bydefault you will get the ratio Say Face Value of Rs 10 splitted to FV of Rs 5 so the ratio is 1:1. Altenratively say company has announced Bonus in 1:1 ratio so for every one share held previous will now result in holding of 2 shares.

So key in 2 in left hand side and 1 in previous holding and before clicking on done button...there is option to test it.....just click on test and see what ratio u r getting. If it is in fraction say 1.9345 or so u r okay and go with ur selection of 2 for 1. That's it....it is so simple.:clapping:

P.S.: Always have backup of your old data first.

There is a provision in FCharts!

Once you import EOD data, choose List View, Show All Records, Percentage change in price over x periods. Fill the box with 1 and click Recalc button. It will display the % change in price (between previous day's price and current price) for all records. Scroll down to the bottom. If any % change is less than -20, check out corporate action for that scrip at BSE or NSE web site. Adjust the price accordingly, for e.g. if a stock's face value is split from Rs.10 to Rs.2 then number of shares would get multiplied by 5 prior to corporate action but price would get divided by 5.

This has to be done after data import everyday!!

I want to know that where can i get information regarding companies undergone stock split or issued bonus or merged since 2008 to May 2011

1. Buy corrected data from a provider.
2. Scan your database for price changes > a large percentage (50?, 80?)
3. Look for stocks that 'stop trading' (May get some 'no volume', also.)

For bonus issues (etc.), watch your bourse's announcements.

2. Right issue of 2 for 5 at 140/- (karurvysya on 16/02/2011)
