I have download de utility from this site for EOD from NSE to feed Fchart but this software not convert(no files to convert Msg). So pl, help in this regard

Hi Pra,

Regarding your pm, I made a post here http://www.traderji.com/f-chart/1505...fcharts-7.html

I am copying the steps here again -

1) Copy DE.exe onto your desktop.
2) Create two empty folders - one named downloading and second converted data on desktop.
3)Now double click DE.exe. Enter data range in from and to fields. Select Data source NSE.
4) In Source Folder field, select the folder titled downloading that you created in step 2. In Destination Folder field, select the folder titled converted data.
5) In data list, check EOD
6) Click Download.
7) Once download is complete, click convert.
8) Open FCharts, click on import/export tab (find that tab yourself). A new box will open. click on import folder and select the converted data folder you created in step2.
9) Done!

If any of the steps fail, try again. Make sure you are connected to internet while downloading data.

I have just used the above process and it did not work 2-3 times but I finally made it work using the above steps.

If you are still not able to use DE, do ask again.

hi,
the software was working fine for the past 6 months,
but since last week the indices are not downloaded.
the bhavcopy is downloaded and thats fine.
can u rectify the prob, pl?

pra, I do not know the reason why this problem comes but advise you to check the
"converted data" folder. If you download the EOD for 30th june, then you will get a csv file 2008_06_30.csv in your "downloading" folder and hitting on convert once will give you a 2008_06_30_DX.txt in your converted data folder. If you are sure that this .txt file is not generated, then may be I can upload my folder in the evening.

Also reply in this thread only as I am subscribed to this thread so I will be notified of any reply.

PS: I am not the right person to ask about FCharts. I gues rhimadri knows about it. I started using this software hardly 3 days back

Yes, even I am getting this problem while downloading indices. I guess we should ask rhimadri or someone else who is using this sw for long time and he may be able to tell about this problem.

double check the contents and permissions of destination folder if you are able to download .csv file successfully in source folder.

Hi Chirkut

I was not in town , thats why to delay to reply you . Boss, finaly EOD converter run sucessfully . The problem was selection of Bhavcopy of NSE. I had selected only individual scrip instead of entire bhavcopy.
