Upcomming Bonus issues

#5
Hi,
I am a new bee in stock market and am currently in learning process about different terminologies of the market.
Here, I would like to know about splits and bonus given by any company. Does this take into consideration the current holdings of the investor or his investment in some due record date (as is the case with dividend) ?
In other words, if I purchase the 50 shares of a company X today and the company declares 1:2 bonus the next day, then will I enjoy the benefit of this bonus ?

Also, if you can give info about some site to get all the details (stock terminologies), then it would be highly appreciable.

Thanks in advance!

When you visit www.e-stockpro.com your PC gets intruded. Just thought I will inform this to members who are not behind a firewall. Is there any other site to learn about upcoming bonus issues?
I surely edorse that... sites like these entice you to pay up, and give no worthwhile info for unregistered viewers. One is never sure what one is up for even if one pays up. So stay away from these hundreds of so-called make-money sites !!

Hi Amrit,

Bonus is also like dividend. To get bonus shares you must hold the shares on the record date.
