hello frnds,

I would like to know the brokerage on intraday add to position trades in zerodha.

...say I buy 25 shares and again 75 shares of the same scrip when in moves in my favour... will zerodha treat it as 2 different trades?

...I mean will my brokerage be 20 + 20 as for a single trade or 20 + 20 for the first 25 shares and again 20 + 20 for the next 75 shares?

can the zerodha representative I have spotted on this forum or any senior member kindly clarify?

thanks..

I think they will be treated as two different trades while buying but while selling, they are treated as single trade if you sell all at once.

Buy 25= 20 brokerage / 0.01 whichever is less for intraday
Buy 75 = 20 again / 0.01
sell 100 = 20 brokerage/0.01 same as above

The 20 flat would help you if you trade in FNO or high volumes in cash.

Hope this helps

Happy Trading,

hello,

yes...u are right...I would end up paying rs. 20 more (plus tax on that) for one trading cycle (buy + sell) if I sell all together.

since my volumes are about 2 lakh on a trade on average that would mean rs. 20 extra + tax on brokerage...all other charges are based on the total amount irrespective of the number of trades...so that should remain constant..right?
