Instead of thinking on how to survive, prosper with short-sell of futures when market is bearish.

Short-selling can be done only in derivates and day trading. If you trade only in delivery based trading, then it is better that you don't trade.
Technical analysis is not only about making wealth, but also protecting it.

Hi Amrit ..
Your Question Is Very Good . Infact , Everyone Should Ask This Question. But First Of All One Need To Understand Bearish Market Right? As Far As U Like Bullish Market , U Will Have To Accept Bearish Market Also. Coz Where There Is Rise There Is A Fall Too.
Next Is,... One Of The Best Stratagy What Aca_trader Said ... U Can Go Short With Derivatives. ( Only If Brearish Trend Is Confirmed ) If Ur Unsure About The Trend , Try To Hedge Ur Positions With Options. But Never Try To Buy In Derivatives While Markets R Brearish. Coz It Would Be Like Catchin A Fallin Knief. It Might Hurt U.
The Best Way For Bearish Market Is , Dont Visit Ur Broker Till Market Start Upward Move. If Ur An Investor.

And The Golden Words ,.. Book Profits Time To Time For Not Having A Blood Bash.

Enjoy Trading ...
Regards,..
Darsh

Its better to stick with the small cap and mid cap stocks where the bearish market doesnt affect to big extent.. it is easy that we dont lose much money in these stocks..
stocks with good results will definitely walk thru from time to time..

dear frnd,
I find ur statemene realy strange. U mean that Mid caps and small caps dont fall much as compared to large caps. To remind us of the fall in May, iv included one monthly returns of all the Nse stks. Hav a look. Its true that Gud quality stks dont get affected. but they fall too and some times badly. Example Quality sugar stks like Baja hindustan, Balrampur Chini.

Pls Do hav a look at the sheet.
