Query about NIFTY

#1
Hi all,
I have a query in nifty trading,
Suppose today nifty closes around 8114 and at the last moment i put a buy around 8120 just above the current closing price.
And second day suppose nifty opens around 8140 and makes a high and did not touch 8120 level the whole day.
So this second day when market opens at 8140 my buy trigger(8120) gets executed or NOT.

thanks:thumb:

Your pending buy order gets cancelled @ MKT close.

However in this case since you place a limit order abv LTP, your order would get filled at MKT price.

Will stay pending only if its a SL buy order.

If you are putting your buy order much above then trading price,
then your order will be executed immediately at the same day, No need to wait till next day.....:D

Hi all,
Still some confusion I ordered before market closing (near about 3:25)
So it will be executed on the same day or next day when market cross that price(If it goes above).

if you filled the price above than current market price, then it would execute immediately

in case you filled the price less than CMP then it may or may not execute by end of the market i.e. 3:30

in case your order is not executed by 3:30 then it not likely the automatically placing of same order on next day market opening, as i dont think after market order facility is for FNO
