At this level oil&gas and pharma and auto looks more juicy for long term. For medium term you may enter sugar. |

Ultramarine Pigments :
Ultramarine pigments diversifying from its old business (Marine blue) into a BPO.It has started a BPO subsidiary named LAPIZ. Lapiz provides BPO services to the Healthcare and Litigation sectors. SEP06 quarter saw its revenues from this segment rising substantialy And even though revenues from its original business have declined the profit for the quarter has doubled (YOY) from 4Cr to 8Cr.That means they have very good margin in the BPO segment. 40% revenues came from BPO Segment. EPS for this quarter was 2 Currently at 46.5 Rs (FV-2Rs) Current PE 7. Dividend of 2.2 Rs last year (when profits averaging 4Cr/quarter) So the dividend yield is 4.7%.Management has been giving dividend regularly for the last 10 years. In short if the company is able to grow this business properly. In the long term this scrip can easily double. Last edited by rjs; 9th November 2006 at 07:56 PM. |

For very long term investment you may buy 3i Infotech, Pricol and of course heavyweights. 3i Infotech is probably one of the cheapest Mid cap IT stocks. Quarter on quarter it's delivering excellent results. It's probably trading 12 times current year earnings and 9 times next year earnings. One of these days I am sure this stock will move.
Pricol is in auto ancillary space. It has underperformed the market big time till date but it's Indonesian plant is expected to start production in December and Uttaranchal plant in Janauary. After these plants start operating at full capacity you can expect very good results from this company. These stocks are for very long term. |

Infrastructure Sector will boom in next 10-15 years. One can invest in this if one has patience.
Banking Sector is being termed as the Sunshine sector so next 5-10 year will be good.. Automobile sector is on a high and will boom for next 5 years or so. With Infrastructure(&Construction) and Automobile sectors booming, as a corolory, the Paint industry will also boom. So you have large choice.. mind you, in all these sectors there are good and not-so-good companies. So take guided decisions... |

I sugget you can have Mutual Fund portfolio also. Some MF which are Infrastucture oriented are very good. Last one year return range from 60-70%
eg- Prudential ICICI Infrastructure, Tata Infra., SBI global, SBI equity, SBI Contra. GO for good equity oriented funds. Among shares 3I Infotec, Prithvi are good for long term. |
