Are ULIPs still the best option to stay invested in ?

I have invested in an ULIP ( Bright Stars from Bharti AXA Life Insurance) and have been paying Rs. 30,000.00 each year for last 5 years. Total payment done is 1,50,000.00 and the fund value is Rs. 1,58,000.00 Is it wise to take "Cover Continuance Option" or "Surrender" the policy and invest somewhere else ?

Never ever buy an ULIP for investment. Best bet would be to surrender the policy when the going is good and invest the proceeds in a large cap MF.

do consider both the above advice.... ULIPS are not that attractive over the period of time... just stay out of them... for insurance just buy a term plan and have rest of the money in FD with monthly pay out which will go as SIP for any good MF... when market crash or correct THEN break your FD and buy more and BETTER MF... good luck... RELATIVE RETURN WILL NOT BE GOOD ITS TIME TO THINK ABSOLUTE RETURNS

ICICI Pru Pinnacle Super LP - Surrender or Stay Invested?

Hi,

I brought ICICI Pru Pinnacle Super LP in June 2012 with NAV value of 9.67. As of today NAV value is 12.677.

I have researched on internet and found out that ulips are not good investments.

So should I remain invested and pay remaining 3 premium or surrender. As even after surrendering I get my money after 5 years only.

I hv Kotak ulip and its performance has been pathetic to say the least, these schemes are made to fool the general public, never ever gng to get into these traps again...there are much better investment options..even fd is better than these..
