Why Sesa Sterlite numbers are bad?

#1
Hi

I was looking at the numbers for Sesa Sterlite. All the numbers for 2013 were dismal while for previous years it has been performing very decently.

For eg the Sales is down 66% , ROCE is also down, debt to cash flow ratio is at scary number of 203.

Is it the deal it had with Sesa Goa...will it perform in future.

In short is it(Sesa Sterlite) a good buy at current price.

Thanks

Sesa Goa's sales had been languishing ever since the ban on iron ore mining. In the previous years, they were offloading from their inventory, which might be drying up ...

Its only recently that the ban has been lifted from Karnataka. Think it is still in place in Goa.

Anyone interested in Sesa Sterlite should def keep in mind and track Sesa Goas operation in Liberia (Western Cluster Project) and its progress. The reserves of that mine are more than all of Sesas India mines.

Long term, Good bet. :thumb:
