Brokerage for Intraday Margin trading in HDFC Securities

#1
Hello Team,

I want to know the details of Brokerage which HDFC Securities is charging for Intraday Margin Trading as description provided on their site is not correct.

The description on their site is Brokerage 0.05% or min Rs.25/- or ceiling of 2.5% on transaction value (Both Buy & Sell).

For example i want to buy 100 Shares of XYZ company of whic current Price is 70Rs per share. Which means for CnC i have to give 7000Rs. Now if i do intraday for same scrip i have to give only 2100(since hdfc gives me 30% margin) for 100 Shares. For this they are showing me brokerage of 52Rs in Know Your Margin Screen which is too high. The Reason being if i sqaure of position for 1rs profit , i am making total profit of 100Rs but paying brokerage of 104Rs.

So just wanted to know Brokerage amount shown on Know You Margin screen includes brokerage for both Buy and Sell Transaction or is it only one transaction. Because if later is true then it doesnt make any sense doing margin trading from HDFC as i will at losing end always.

Please let me know at the earliest.

Regards

For intraday the brokerage is 0.05% or min Rs.25/- or ceiling of 2.5% on transaction value on each side - Buy & Sell . However while placing intraday order, the system pulls a buffer amt of brokerage on delivery basis wch (the additional amt) gets released by end of the day.
