Can anyone here please throw some light regarding how company results are announced ?


Q1:

Who is the result announcement authority ?

company results are announced by company first.
Or
company results are announced by Stock Exchange first.

which is correct ?

Q2:

What is the procedure of company result announcement ?

Is it some spokesperson ( Exchange / company ? ) announces the result ...how its executed actually ?
Or
they first upload results in exchange / or company site and then later announce in TV , print media etc?

If xyz is listen on NSE, then every quarter xyz have to send their quarterly results to the exachange, exchange then publish this result on their website, (companies also publish results on their website, but exchange is the best source of getting their results).

For example, here is the link on BSE website for their latest results, I was watching this like a newbie trader on infosys results date, after 5 min the result was on moneycontrol.com
