How many wakeups

How many traders wake up by massive movements to know that they have no idea about circuit caps on their traded shares?

I personally do not know where to get information about circuits on shares and no wonder I was surprised to see infosys moving in such a way today. What about circuit??? Why no circuit on Infosys?

If companies like Infosys are allowed to move 21 % in a day then FIIs are shooting at sitting ducks in the form of common Indian investors.:gun2:

 So that means, intraday trading without a stoploss is way too risky. When time comes one can be catapult into debt!!

Its risky because when big moves come within seconds, sometimes they bypass stoploss orders. One needs to keep wide price gap between order and trigger price in a stoploss order.

Theoretically .... If some wise guy had to leverage his 1 lac to 10 lac in intraday and happens to have bought infosys yesterday with all that money = 1000000/2917 = 342 shares. He somehow does not sell the shares yesterday as they are bought under investment and wisely thinks of using the 3 day credit given to him by his broker to make good money hoping the share price will go up next day. And the next day ...bang!!! the share price falls to 2295 within some seconds. Straight 622 pips loss which equals 342 shares * 622 = 212724 Rupees. So an account of 1 lac Rupees now turns into a debt of 112724 rupees + loss of 1 lac.

Leverage is a dangerous tool if not used smartly!
