Default BTST calls

I want to ask a question

BTST can any one tell me how safe is this option and

what are the chances of getting trapped in auctions in this case

Does BTST trades invite auction or is there any danger of getting caught in acution

should we avoid it or is it fine to try BTST trades

which broker is good regarding this

any answers regarding this will be a big welcome

Thank you

You need not worry about auction or something else while you doing on BTST calls. You can do the business

Couple of times is too small a sample to base your advice on, Swagat. Short deliveries could arise just once in say many hundred deals, but that once could be failry loss making, specially for volatile stocks.

All this in theory of course .

The ICICI rules penalise the original buyer for short delivery for the sale he commits to. This , to me appears starnge as auctions usually apply to short deliveries in cash markets and affect only sellers , never buyers

Adeep,
PL dont go off on a tangent... we are talking abt the risk of losses due to possible auctions... and not abt btst calls

If u can clarify this conceptual doubt, we will be grateful

Rahul,
BTST doesnot invite Auction as here u frst buy share and then sell in the next day(Buy today sell tomorrow). Not all the brokers used to allow you using this feature but most of the well known brokers are allowing now a days.
But Plz check ur Stockreceivable account before selling the shares in the very next day otherwise u will be on the auction table due to ur short delivery caused by somebodies short delivery. understand?
I am working with 4 brokers among them i found Indiainfoline (5paisa.com) provides best BTST Tips .
Best of luck
Debdulal
