How do i Trade

Hello Team - its fantastic to see such an active forum.
I am from Bangalore and i invest mainly in gold.Yes i stack physical gold.
I somehow have not ventured trading and i have absolutely no idea.
I am new to this and i would like to buy shares online.
can anybody provide me the step by step guidance please.
