ETF (exchange traded funds)

#1
Hello everyone,

I am a new investor and also a conservative one. My question is that why does only gold, banking sector and mixed sector ETF's are present on the NSE stock exchange ? What i anticipated was that there would be ETF for every sector like pharma, biotech, renewable energy, power etc etc.
do they dont exist or have i missed it. I could not find it on money control or NSE web page.
I would like to invest in a few beaten down sectors and was thus investigating about ETF's. Anykind of help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

ETF's are not yet popular with Indian investors, even Nifty Bees is very small compared to other mutual funds in India.

So if the ETF which tracks Nifty does not have a good market share there is no point in introducing ETF for other sectors like pharma, biotech etc.
