Default Help-Query

Hello All

This is my first post at the website. I am totally new to share market. I need some info. I recently opened a demat account. THen I bought 1 share of infosys limited. I got addtional share free as company decided to give bonus share. thus i have 2 shares in my account now. But the dividend has not yet come. I spoke to the trading agency and they said that I should get in touch with the company. How do we come to know the date on which we get dividend. Or how long should i wait before contacting the comapny for dividend. Do they send us the cheque or deposit the money in our bank just as they did with the bonus share.

My query may be very basic one, but as i am totally new to the forum, i thought I will seek some help here.

you need to buy the shares of Infosys before 25.05.2006* to get the dividend.

the same will be directly credited to your bank a/c through ecs.

cheers,

jdm.
