there is a way/method to import live NSE stock quotes in excel.
search Josh1 thread and go thru the video tutorial for the setup

Downloading data from nseindia.com was possible few months back. But now its not possible.

if i get live data then why i go for the delayed data. yahoo also supplies delayed data so if NSE site is closed now, go for yahoo.

Getting real time data is possible from yahoo. It gives delayed data if we are not signed in.

found that yahoo data feed is lagging a bit then the terminal captured data even if u r logged in. JDM's my quotes also log in yahoo to fetch data and the data is a bit slow
