StopLoss Help please

Hi all, I am trading for quite some time however have some doubts in my mind, appreciate if someone help me in that.

1. About stoploss: as someone explained here abtstoploss should be above buying price and when you short in should be lower that last traded price. OK
but then how come when call is given

e.g. BUY SHIPPING CORP. CMP 58.45 SL 55 TGT 63 TO 65 , Now here how come Stoploss is less than CMP ?

one more example:

Long central bank fut @ 82.7, tgt 84-86, SL: 80.85
Now in this example if i buy @ 82.7 how to put stoploss at 80.85 in icici ?

:p Hi, When you Buy SCI at CMP of 58.45 the SL has to be lower than the entry rate... so when price breaches SL 55 you exit your position and STOP LOOSING any more!!! In a Buy Call the SL will always be lower than the Entry/CMP !!
When we place a SL trade, we have to give two rates, the trigger rate and the rate upto which the same may happen!! In SCI it may be something like this : Sell upto 54.85 when market trades at 54.95 (Trigger price)!!

How to put Stoploss in ICICIDIRECT? whenever i try to put SL less than buy rate it say sloploss trigger value should be greater than last traded value?

Is it that Stop loss trigger and stop Loss are different in ICICI Direct?

Please help

hi,

i have account running with BMA Wealth Creators ltd. STOP LOSS is the selling price of shares which you have fixed.Therefore if LAST TRADED PRICE (ltp)is at or below then only STOPLOSS TRIGGER PRICE is executed.

Eg: Buy 10/- Sl:12 & sl trgger:12.5
