pivot point calculation

hello sirs,

can anyone please tell me if most traders in the market use LTP or closing price on NSE for calculation of pivot points?

also...which is preferable as the one most traders use is likely to be more reliable.

thanks in advance...

hi,

thank you JMM for your reply...
I was also scouting the web for the pivot point formula and found quite a few which i didn't expect...I thought there was only one formula for pivots.

anyway...can some one here please post a pivot points formula that is best suited to our markets?

what i did notice is that the actual pivot point is the same in all the formulas, but the support/ resistance levels vary...I need to know which one is good for us to use.

thank you,

regards,

"CLOSE"
As Pivots are mostly calculated EOD, people mostly take the weighted average close price as determined by the exchanges!!!
