Hi BullIam,

I came across the article as well............to put it simply,if you are looking at the markets on alonger term basis, then one really does not care if it IS staged selling or not.You would be relishing this opportunity to add to your longs as you are looking at the gains over years.

On the other hand,if you are looking at things over the medium term, one really does not care if it IS staged selling or not.A change in trend was reason enough to sell, whether staged or not.The intermediate term trader ,after getting stopped out of all his longs now waits for an opportunity to go long again.

From a trader's perspective, makes no difference..........but it's interesting though to see people stuttering and stammerring out excuses for this and that.........

All the best!
Saint

Hi Saint

This has been told by you ever since I started reading your posts. Somehow people tend to overlook its importance and suffer. For a long term yes one need not worry now. but for short term one should have been out by last week or even prior to that. You have said at some place ride the wave but protect your profit. It simply means that once target is reached and unable to containg the Greed factor then keep riding but at first sign of trouble flee the scene. If going is great after that one can again enter the same counter if one has developped taste for it.That way profit is maximised and loss is reduced.

I hope I correctly interpreted. people tend to forget your lessons and also quote partially.

With warm regards
Pankaj

Dear Saint,

I got my demat a/c just a month ago. Till date not a single share in it.
While searching I got this forum and expressed my first view. Can you put
some light on Short, Medium and Long term duration? What should be the
period for them.....

Jessy Livermore was the first trader to publicly advocate the strategy of trend following. Well some may also say he used to create them with the size of his operation.....

Dear Vince and other senior members:

Please go through the above quote. I think, sometime TV Channels may help you to lessen your loss. Well, I am not enough senior like you guys but its my opinion.

Lets take a example. Suppose in year 2007 same situation arises.
Say US Fed Bank says that there's inflation in USA. Now out of 100 trader/investor, lets assume, 10% of them watches the news. What will happen next days in India....Those who trades on news will remember that such thing happened in year 2006 and then history will repeat itself....A proverb.....DUDH KA JALA CHHACHH BHI PHUK KAR PEETA HAIN.

If I am wrong, let me know, so that I can develop, improve myself with ideas
, knowledge and experience from you guys.....I dont want to say that I am right or vince is right...I just want to comment and know you opinion...

Have a nice day
bullIam (will always be.)
Bisleri.......Play Safe.

Next time observe something & tell me:

A news of some company breaks on the tv...you check the chart & see & tell me whether the rally after the news was longer or before the news ?
