Using PIB is it possible to put s/l after trade executes.......there is a box for s/l while placing order & I am able to change s/l until trade does'nt execute & my order is in 'modify/delete order'.....but after trade happens....i do not found any way to put or change s/l.....

I talked to local RM's but they are not much familiar with s/l....they suggest to put an alert at my s/l price.....& place a new order when alert bells......sometimes this cause much harrasment.....while alert comes & I put an order...price goes much below (or Higher in case of short selling)......causing heavy loss....& I am not able to use s/l in proper sense....

one time i put s/l at 120.50 & price goes to 120.30 from 120.60 & s/l was not triggered....when I complaint to RM he says that If price goes below my s/l & no trade execute at that price then s/l doesnt trigger... ....it is very old story & I do not use s/l now a days & depends on Alerts for s/l....

I just want that when I put s/l, trade must execute when price goes below s/l (Not exactly at s/l price) & I must be able to change s/l....Is it possible with PIB?...if yes, please guide me..

I don't know why there is some problems with indiabulls.....recently i told them to sell vsnl at 360...they put the bid..i could see that the bid was put in place...it then went down to 352, but my stocks were not sold...I then had to sell it at 353....RM was not able to answer this time except an excuse that still i was able to exit in profits (lame excuse as always).....

Indiabulls always had a problem with Stop Loss Orders. It never worked with me.

Hello K.S.
I too was facing a similar issue using PIB. However, I have deviced a way, that works for me. Hope this helps you too...
Please forgive me, if I am assuming too less. I was not aware of this when I started. The intention here is to help.

When I enter a trade, I don't put a stop-loss order with it. Instead, I put another order, as a stop loss.
Let me elaborate on this...
Say, I have entered long on MTNL @ 145 and I have decided on a stop-loss of 143. Then on entering the trade @ 145, I will immediately put a market order @ 143. To place a stop-loss order @ market, the price should be greater than 143 at that time. The reverse is the case of Short positions. Now, as the market moves in my direction, I keep on moving my stop loss(change my second order). Do remember to cancel the stoploss when you have booked your gains and no need to do anything in case you are stopped. You are saved the trouble .

Take caution using this method, as I have observed that some time, your stop is just hit and then market continues on its way. But that is a different story, probably my SLs are too near.

Best Regards
Coool.
