suggestion please

hello all ,

I am very much new to this great site . I am in need of a suggestion from you people . I have bought VIJAYA BANK @ 67/- but due to fall of market the price has become 42.60/- . is there any chance of getting the price to me . Should i hold the script or sell it can u suggest me the good price for selling it.

Vijaya Bank announces Q4 & FY 06 results 5/5/2006
Vijaya Bank has announced the following audited results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2006:

The Bank has posted a net loss of Rs 345.30 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 (Q4 FY 05-06) whereas as the net profit was Rs 1559.20 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 (Q4 FY 04-05). Total Income is Rs 6891.00 million for Q4 FY 05-06 whereas as the same was at Rs 6329.20 million in Q4 FY 04-05.

The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 1268.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) whereas as the same was at Rs 3805.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total Income is Rs 26807.90 million for FY 05-06 whereas as the same was at Rs 24479.80 million in FY 04-05.

The erstwhile Vibank Housing Finance Ltd (wholly owned subsidiary of Vijaya Bank) was merged with the Parent Bank with effect from August 31, 2005.

The figures of the previous period / year have been re-grouped and re-classified wherever necessary, excluding of Vibank Housing Finance Ltd.

The Board of Directors has declared a dividend of 10% to the shareholders for the year 2005-06.

One needs to understand why the quarterly loss and slump in annual profit (see above) have arisen... and is it anything to do with the merging of the (loss making ?) subsidiary. In that case it would be a non recurring loss/slump... in which case u cd probably hold on for the medium/long term
