Hi Karan
I think one must utilise this correction as an opportunity to get fundamentally strong and low PE stocks. Since i have started I always wait for an opportunity to get sound stocks at a bargain price but during correction time all will advise wait..wait.. till the bottom or till get a confirmed trend etc but by the time you act the prices will go back and you can't utilise the panic selling during the correction. This is my experience with fundamentally strong low pe stocks. So utilise the warnings from expert People like rohith who warned about 3 black crows fromation in nifty graph and also 3 days back some bodyelse suggested a shooting star like formation in nifty graph etc.So try to stay on cash or encourage new investors to utilise the correction and barge on the stock you are aimimng for when they are at a real low price instead of waiting for the correction to complete. I repeat this is for fundamentally strong and low pe stocks with a good divident history etc.
This is my view about it with my very limited knowledge. Thanks for the warning and your selfless servise rohith

hi karan,

today market may move up, or may move down also.
what is certain is that the market is going to be volatile, like yesterday.
such a market will provide many oppurtunities for the seasoned, both bulls and bears.

during a volatile period, the rewards are high and the risk is higher too.
the bulls may be benifitted and the bears too. and who foots the bill? 'I too trade' wallas.

but for a beginer it could be a nightmare, unless he is very lucky.
if one is really so lucky, a mega lottery could be a better choice.

in a nutshell, beginners may use this oppurtunity for getting experience, by mental (paper) trading, as it is one of the rare oppurtunities. they may be richer by being away from the market.

this phase may continue for a few days. later, once the trend is set, it is the right time for the new entrant.

all the best in trading.

hi nonstopkaran,

You have taken the plunge. leave it for the time being. sterlite is fundamentally strong. dont watch your stock movement every two minutes if you are not a day trader. Right now the market movements are very injurious to the heart and purse. So I think the weak hearted better wait on the sidelines.:) . Right now i have got used to seeing my portfolio in red.

cheers,
vyas.
