Hi!

It's a 3:2 Bonus. A Bonus issue causes the same impact on the share price as a stock-split will have.

In both the cases, the net worth of a company is represented by more no. of shares and hence it's but natural for adjustment of per share price to take place.

Information about split/bonus can be obtained from www.nseindia.com where one needs to enter the stock symbol to get quotes and at the lower end of the page showing the quote, one should click on "corporate action"

Best Regards,
--Ashish

When will we get the CIPLA bonus shares to our demat account. When is the AGM proposed?

Could anybody let me know the usual trend of issuing the bonus shares (how much time will it take for bonus shares to be delivered to demat account).

I found this announcement on NSE website

Cipla Ltd. has informed the Exchange that the committee of Board of Directors at its meeting held on May 05,2006 have allotted 466374814 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each aggregating Rs.932749628 as fully paid-up bonus shares in the ratio of three equity shares for every existing two equity shares held, to those members holding shares as on the Record Date i.e. April 25,2006.

Why share is still not credited to account?

Regards
Equebal
