Indoco Remedies sets up new R&D centre in Navi Mumbai
Clariant Chemicals come into existence with integration of its affliates. K M Sugar approves setting up of new sugar unit of 5000 TCD. Sterlite Optical Technologies, India`s only integrated manufacturer and leading global provider of optical fiber (OF) & telecom cables gave added push to its Sterlite Optical FTTH (Fiber-to-the-home) concept. In a move to encourage faster adoption of optical fiber, the company launched has 6 new products. These include DOF Lite (Metro), Bend Lite OF, Hybrid Cable with Power Cable, Micro Duct Lite Cable, Combo Cable, and SuperLAN-Cat 5e drop cable. UTI Unit Scheme for Charitable and Religious Trusts and Registered Societies (UTI-CRTS) declares a dividend resulting in gross pay out of 6.125% (Rs.6.125 per unit on a face value of Rs.100/-). This pay out includes the applicable income distribution tax. Epson, the world leader in digital imaging and printing solutions, has announced the launch of the EPSON Perfection V700 Photo. Zee Telefilms will pre-pay the Rupert Murdoch-owned Star TV the entire cash component of $150 million on Friday. It has decided not to opt for the facility of clearing half the dues by September 30, 2000. Patni Computer has tied up with Mercer for setting up a global operations centre in India. Mercer to invest $50 m over 3 years in JV with Patni Genus Overseas Electronics Limited, one of the largest producers of single phase multifunction electronic energy meters, has bagged an order of Rs.117.65 crore from West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB) for Argi Metering. The is the biggest ever order to be announced by any State electricity Board for metering project in recent times. The order is for metering of tube-wells in agriculture fields in different districts of West Bengal.
