About Pre-Market

#1
Hi Experts,

i want to know one thing about premarket, and i trading with Sharekhan.

Today i noticed that Infosys price went upto Rs.2700 in pre market, but in normal market hours it started as usual.

My doubt is whether a Normal Investor can trade in Pre-Market hours?

Yes,

Any investor can trade in pre-market hours..........but

If NSE exchange then only in Nifty 50 stock
If BSE exchange then only in BSE 30 shares.

9:00 pre-market begins, where all the amo orders are traded

Also Orders entered in pre-market session should be under AMO (After market orders)

9:00 to 9:07 order entering time
9:10 to 9:15 order matching time.

Post market opens at 9:15.

I hope this answers your query.

Umm. Here I would like to explain.

In Pre-Market, the orders are just accepted from 9.00AM to 9.07AM. The orders wont be executed. The order execution will actually start at 9.08AM. So in between, you can place order in any range, and hence, buyers place order way above yesterdays closing and sellers place orders way below previous close. I don't know why they do it, but they do. There are very few times when such order gets executed. So this is when you see some orders at very different prices. But these trades happen rarely.

I hope it clears something.
