hi guys, how are you n hope you are all feeling top of the world as market apriciated too much for last four months so your investment too.
i have attrached nifty 50 10years monthly movement for your knowledge. Here’s some observations from the above table: - On average, March performance is worst, December is best, but the standard deviation (variation in returns) is also relatively high. - February performance has the least variation (and is second best in performance), making it a good bet for bullish investors. - May is the most volatile, with performance ranging from -16% to +16%. Thanks. |

Interesting initiative, thanks
But in my opinion, long term chartists should not bother themselves with month wise trends since chart patterns do not get influenced by specific months. What is more important is the duration of each 'leg' of a movement (e.g. a secondary correction within a secular bull or bear run), underpinned of course by (anticipation of ) medium/long term economic trends The only reason why March may be gloomy is the need for year end tax mobilisations (but then that will affect Sep and Dec as well) Attached chart 9 yrs Sensex may help rendering more graphical perspective to the past trend (unfortunately months can not be easily made out , but then as I said, they are largely irrelevant) AGILENT

Salesman: iske sath koi gift nahi hai. Sardar: oye ispe likha hai, "100% bacteriafree".
