Re: Tcs -

Infact, TCS has given the Bonus twice:
1. 17/04/2006>> 1:1
2. 20/04/2009>> 1:1

Also, go through their Dividend History...... You would have recovered your investment during last 5 years just through the Dividends..... forget about Capital Appreciation

Sushilji, going a bit off-topic.....

The last few Decades belonged to the IT Sector..... No doubt, it's not saturated yet, but it has become a bit matured......

What are your views about the next Sector which is going to create some serious wealth for the Investors.... I am again talking about a very very big time horizon, where we buy and forget, and just enjoy the Dividends.....

I mean even if we put just Rs 5000/- in it presently, it creates the wealth of millions in the next 20-30 years....

Re: Tcs -

Hi Aditya,

While the IT Sector hasn't matured completely.....but I have maintained this for a very long time that TCS will replace INFY at the top....there are still many other companies in the Midcap...that should see exponential increase in the next 5-10 years....

Apart from that......Infrastructure Companies (Not the small ones) then Capital Goods, Power Generation & Distribution.... & Most of the PSU Banks..should increase anywhere from 300-600%

Among the FMCG, I have liked the way ITC has moved away from being a Cigarette company.... & it should do very well & Close on the heels but still some distance between them... I like Godrej Consumer....

Among the Auto Companies... Tata Motors.... should hit the big league world players......and will be spoken in the same breath as Ford, GM, Toyota & others....

Hero Honda.....should have moved away from Honda's JV a long time back.... being in the JV their entry into international markets was practically non-existent..... Let's see now that the JV is finished how they progress with their R&D and new products....& International foray

India is going to be the main manufacturing hub for all the Auto Companies of the world....therefore one should look for the OEMs

While many of the Smaller players will get swallowed by Domestic Biggies or New International Players... with policy change which is inevitable...not that I favour entry of MNCs likes of Walmart..they are the worst parasites I have ever witnessed...... History will show that their entry into any country has only spelled doom for small players...and producers...and increased unemployment......

I would like to know when did NTPC came out with IPo (Is it in Oct 2004?) . What was the issue price ? If you can provide the bonus/dividend history would be great. Thanks.

Off late Aurobindo Pharma is being traded at around Rs 170/-. Is it advisable to buy from long term investment point of view ? If recommendation is to buy, please elaborate ?
If you are not recommending to buy Aurobindo Pharma which other pharma is good and why should I invest ?

Re: NTPC - Details

NTPC - was listed on 05/11/2004 issue price was 62/- not aware if they have given any Bonus... also haven't kept track of the dividends...am sure somebody will help out and give the missing details.....

Also instead of starting a separate thread for each query... keep all the queires into a single thread... there is no reward for owning maximum number of threads.....
