What about Infosys?

Do u think it is good time to buy Infosys? Or it may go down?

wait for market to open on monday..i am of the view that the scrip wud certainly catch up within 3 days..accumulate ASAP:thumb:

Saw it on a mailing list ...

Infosys closed at 2990 on Friday after a 9.6% loss.
INFY at Nasdaq closed with a 13.4% loss.

It is not wise to compare these 2 markets because
A) India market had holiday, and the price change might reflect the differential from Thursday.
B) Markets are not 100% co-related

Still, there is a large degree of co-relation, and Infy changed only 2 cents on Nasdaq on Thursday.
This leaves behind a big 3.8% differential between the 2 markets just going by Friday (post-results) move.
I think we should be prepared for Infy to drop another 2-3% (75-100 rupees) today.

I see u r correct. Do u think it will dip down more?

My personal opinion is that US led correction as indicated by this posting is over, and now INFY will move with NIFTY. Some more correction after TCS and Cognizant results can not be ruled out, but that will hopefully be small and slow, not like the last 2 days.

And you know how the market behaves ... unpredictable. Be prepared for the following analysis from our news channels (or websites).

TCS had good results ==> Infy is doing bad. Sell Infy
TCS had good results ==> Infy is under-committing to perform well later. Buy Infy

OR

TCS had bad results ==> Infy is not so bad. Buy Infy
TCS had bad results ==> The whole market is going to fall. Sell Infy.
