hi guys,
can users of the new trade tiger from sharekhan tell me how much memory (RAM) would be ideal to run the s/w seamlessly?
my configuration is as follows :
intel D 865 GBF motherboard
intel processor - 2.4 Ghz 800 FSB w/ hyperthreading
memory (RAM) - 2 sticks of 256 mb DDR 400 and 2 sticks of 512 mb DDR 400 (added recently) for a total of 1.5 Gb DDR 400 RAM running dual channel.
bsnl 4 mbps broadband connection.
would this run trade tiger 2.0 without any lag? especially 1.5 Gb DDR 400 ram? or should i get more?
btw i do not have much applications on my pc - no yahoo chat, media players, nothing...just winzip, stocks UP, thats all.

NOTE - for bsnl users having frequent disconnection problems, try this...
open browser - type 192.168.1.1 - login - admin - admin -
go to DNS server configuration - uncheck Enable Automatic Assigned DNS - in the box that opens type open DNS server address - 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 - SAVE (most people change it it in windows (TCP/IP) but forget to change it in the modem.
go to TR-069 client - disable it - SAVE/APPLY (leaving it enabled will sometimes not save changes) go to SNMP - Configuration - disable it. SAVE/APPLY (if you dont get links these in IE, open in opera. if using kaspersky like me, dont open opera or IE in safe surf mode/ it wont save changes.
next go to DSL - check G.Dmt, G.Lite, T1.413 and uncheck the rest (adsl 2, annex L, adsl 2+, annex M)
next - Select the phone line pair below - Inner pair (checked by default) leave it as it is.
next - Capability - check Bitswap Enable and check SRA Enable (not checked by default) - SAVE/APPLY
SRA stabilises your connection by compensating for line noise and other disturbances and adjusts the SNR accordingly instead of the usual procedure of disconnecting and reconnecting again.
go to management from the main links and reboot the router. wait for 2 minutes to reboot and come to summary page. thats all !!
Note - everytime you make a change gont forget SAVE or SAVE/ APPLY wherever the option is available or else it wont save your changes.
Do not change from PPPoE mode to bridge mode. It slows down your pc considerably. One reason could be because in bridge mode your modem firewall is disabled and it just acts as a router forwarding all ports to your pc firewall. This could cause your third party firewall to get aggressive and hyper sensitive, thus effectively slowing down your pc.
my bsnl supplied modem is - UT300R2U - but the options will be available in other models too.
it took quite some time to write this...if it helps you, do drop a line...
regards,
