I just want to know that can we invest in foreign market like Chinese/Japanese/USA. (market/share market)

Yes it is possible. Your broker need to support Overseas Trading. ICICIDirect supports. Check with yours.

But do remember that there are various risks associated with it - like currency fluctuations, tax implications etc.

With ICICIdirect you invest only in overseas market in USA. for investing in other markets, you need to have account with firms like advfn or IB. As far as I know they are not permitting resident indians to operate/open the global accounts because of some permission issues from authorities.

In India i think Fidelity Investments offer a product whereby you can trade on NYSE, not sure about the details, you can check with them.
