FII activity

hello,
can someone tell me where to look for FII activity in indian markets?

search in sebi website...click in statistics link

you can find FII data on nseindia website for daily activity:

if you want consolidated data go to moneycontrol website.

If you want to see the FII trend with graphs and daily values see

http://blackbull.in/tools/fiidii.php

and select FII tab on the page

why is that when FII buy in indian market... DII almost always sell? atleast for the month of october this is the case.. can someone please explain this pattern in chart?

One reason why DII sell might be this:

DII are mainly the mutual funds in india. When market goes up for a month or so, the mutual fund investors think that its time to take the money out of mutual fund. Thus DII are forced to close their positions in market and liquidate some of the holdings. This "force" is not seen in FII investment... probably diwali might also be the reason why people want their money out of market....

thts why DII chart is a down trend.. while FII chart is UP trend

their might be other strong reasons for DII selling... but this one came to my mind..

any other expalinations???

is it possible to see the promoter & public holdings of a company as well on a daily/weekly basis. so as to know if promoters are increasing or decreasing their holdings?

i am not aware of a consolidated monthly or weekly chart or data... but BSE website provides this info.

for example,

the promoters pattern in infosys technology is on this link:

the tedious part is to click links one by one and get the data :-(
