I following this massive bull trend of sensex and feel that we are heading for a crash, so trying to understand the indicators.
When markets crashed in Jan 2008, I remember Chidambaram, announcing that, he knew that markets would start with downtrend and hit circuit breakers, also later I read that Sebi/Sensex officials has eased circuit breakers.

Just a note: My broker at that time, advised me to sell all equities 15-Jan-2008(I was new to market and only sold shares, but never thought of Puts/shorting). Of course I lost lot of money later, because of this prediction. so quit that broker
So, how do we know in advance when do they ease/life circuit breakers.
OR how do they claim(officially) that they knew downtrend in advance.
