As of now, what is the rules and regulations regarding short selling. Geojit is allowing short selling only on intraday basis. I dont know about other broking firms. Is there any broking firm which is allowing short selling by borrowing the share to hold on to the position. If so what are the charges. Kindly clarify. I read in a article that NSE is going to bring a new system in place which will allow short selling (link provided below). Has it come into action or not. Kindly throw some light on this matter.
