Buying Bid above market price imp query (plz see and reply)

#1
hi...

can someone give detail explanation to this.

example: cmp of script: Rs 100

now say I would like to buy this script at Rs105 levels I place a buying bid at Rs105. So until market price reaches Rs105 from Rs100 my order would be in pending right or it would be executed?

thx

I think your order will be put in the pending queue. Else, it woudl be very easy for any tom dick and harry to manipulate prices.

Only those buy orders which bid at or below LTP, or sell orders that ask at or above LTP are seen in the best 5 bid and ask, meaning only these and less better than these are available for immediate execution.

May be Anurag Munjal, AW 10, Capricorn or other seniors be able to explain with accuracy.

Hi Akash,
if you put an order to buy when the CMP is@100 ..order will be executed @ best offer order price at that point of time...if your intention is to enter the trade if the stock touches a high of 105 then you have to place a stoploss order with stoploss trigger price@105 and order [email protected] ...your order will be passive and will only be triggered into active order only if price reaches @105 that day.
All the best
