Your opinions on stock Volume

#1
I thought i would open a general thread where people could give their opinion on what they look for when they look at a stocks daily volume.
How much do you use it for technical analysis?

For example, i normally wont even touch a stock that has a daily trade turnover of less than about 30 lakh rupees. So if its a 30 rupee stock, it should have a volume of about 0.1 Million shares over a 20 day volume EMA.

Im also very hesitant about shares where on bursts suddenly the volume jumps to over a 100 times average for a single day. (i think those are too unpredictable to trade in). :annoyed:

Anyone else wants to share their thoughts?

I basically enter when the Ease of Movement (a volume indicator) is above zero. This ensures the stock price moves on volumes so it helps escaping long accumulation periods or periods of no activity.
