Margin and margin plus both are same and are designed for intraday.

in case of margin plus, you fix the sl and the risk you can take (say 3% to 5%) from your stoploss. and you will get upto 25 times your investment for intraday trading.
for eg: if you have INR 5000, you buy ril at INR1000/share, and keep your sl at 990 and 3% variation, your max loss would be 40rs per share. so you can buy 5000/40=125 shares. ie. stock worth 125000 or 25 times of your investment.
if it moves in favour of you, then you get jackpot in terms of your investment or moves against you, you will lose 1250 ((1000-990)*125) or 25% of your investment.
Problem with this is, there is no limit order or target, everthing should be done in market order.
Looks very attractive but very bad for beginners and novices. got to be very careful in this segment

Where as in margin, you will get 4 times your investment and you don't need to specify any stoploss, you can place limit order and target. you have option of converting your position to delivery before 3.00 to the extent of investment you have.

you will get the payin only after T+2 and payout on same day.
Their brokerage is highly expensive, web based becomes very slow and every 10 mins it keeps logging out automatically.

Strongly advised to be careful while using icicidirect.
