Kaizartrtr,

CMP = current market price.

I'll tell you some more about it --

C M P

Most fixedly you watch the screen
the eyeballs -- they go red ...

At times it makes you smack your lips,
At times you miss a beat.
At times 'tis fresh 'n' green as grass,
At times Oh! bloody sleet.

The broker then, he gives a call --
Now buy, now sell, now stop your loss.
Such, they say, is the game of stock
And CMP is the ball you watch.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . -- pgd
Cheers!

Nice poem pgd. Keep at it & you'll only get better.

Poets do have poetic license you know. That allows them to deviate from all norms of rhyme, verse & meter. Looks like you have invoked your license, although your poem would've been much, much better with a bit of traditional rhyme, verse & meter.

I like your attempt at a poetic response to a query from kaizartrtr. keep going & let's see some more verse from you in the General chit-chat category.
